The Glendon Toronto and District Junior League Practices

The format of the practice will stay the same but the details will change.

  1. Warm up (stretching, pre-game tactics- eg ways to relax before match etc). 5-10 min.
  2. Fitness training or an activity usually only 10-15 minutes.
  3. A lesson on one of the 27 shots listed for each player. 10-15 minutes.
  4. Then, based on the level, a drill to either aquire, perfect or integrate the skill. 15-20 minutes.
  5. A Round Robin Challenge at the end of each practice. The game will be modified to one game 9 points or less depending on the time using North Americal scoring where every rally counts as a point to the winner of that rally. The players waiting to play are asked to referee each other's games. Results will be posted on the Web. 20-30 min.

Total Practice time: Around 90 minutes or 1 1/2 hours per group- i.e. Teams U11 and U13 together and team U15 and U17 together.

Here is the Glendon T&D Player and team list. It's in an excel format so you will need Microsoft Excel or in the least a Microsoft's XL viewer.

Team Practices are to be held on Saturday afternoons.

Under 13 1:00-2:30 3
